F.  A.  Q.

You've got questions and that's just normal. Please contact us at info@tenfest.com if you aren't finding your answers here and we will be sure to add it.

Q: Can I submit a trailer for a film I've already made?

A: No because that misses the point. Not that we're big on points. But TEN is all about taking that first step on a big feature idea still lodged in your head.

Q: Can I submit a trailer for a documentary feature?

A: Yes.

Q: How do I submit?

A: Fill out an entry form. Then you will need to open an Auteurs account and a Vimeo account. Only films uploaded to Vimeo will be accepted for embed into the site.

Q: What does TEN mean?

A: As in a perfect ten. As in the tenth day of the tenth month of the tenth year. As in the ten dollar entry fee. As in the ten thousand dollar prize. It means everything and nothing.

Q: Did my entry get selected?

A: Selection notifications will start to roll out after August tenth.

Q: How many will be picked for the festival?

A: 20 or so to be shown at the film festival. From this list, one winner will be awarded the title "Big Tease" and receive the loot.

Q: Who will be judging the event?

A: We are assembling a great cast of industry pro's and new media upstarts who love film and have the ability to help move it along. Soon, we will be announcing jurors.

Q: When is the best time to submit?

A: Submissions in early are appreciated, but filmmakers love themselves a deadline, so have it us by August tenth.

Q: I have footage I shot last year. Does that qualify as a film that has already been made?

A: You should be able to use whatever footage you can dig up, yours or otherwise, to get your pitch across. Show 'em how you'll do it!
